photographing glass

Reflective subjects need soft light. You could try a
cloudy day light but there still may be too many
reflections.  Get some powerful lights and some
diffusion material like white nylon sheets to build a little
tent around the glass or metal or whatever the
subject is. The light will be soft enough that there
are no reflections.
